Installing Widget Using WordPress Custom HTML

Limitation of WordPress.com

If you're using WordPress.com, you need a Business or Vip plan to add Acobot to your site. For security reasons, WordPress.com users on the Premium Plan and below are not allowed to post JavaScript.

1. Getting JS Code for Widget

  1. Log in to your Acobot account at https://acobot.ai/user.
  2. Choose the AI you want to install.
  3. Choose Widget tab.
  4. Choose Installation tab.
  5. Choose Other for platform.
  6. Click Copy link.

Now the JS code is copied to your clipboard.

2. Adding Widget JS to WordPress

  1. Log in to your WordPress website as administrator and go to Dashboard.
  2. Choose Appearance - Customize in the left sidebar.
  3. Choose Widgets.
  4. Choose any section. A footer section recommended.
  5. Click Add a Widget button.
  6. Choose Custom HTML.
  7. Provide a text, for instance, "Acobot Widget", for Title.
  8. Paste the JS codes into Content field. The widget should appear on the preview.
  9. Click Done link.
  10. Click Publish button.

The widget will then show up.
